Ever stumbled upon a fragrance that makes you go, “Wow, this is something!”? Well, for me, that’s Mancera Cedrat Boise.
Cedrat Boise is often tossed into comparisons with Creed Aventus. But let me tell you, while they might be distantly related in the fruity-woody department, Cedrat Boise dances to its own tune.
I’m a fan of many of Mancera’s fragrances, with my favorite being Instant Crush. Cedrat Boise comes very close to taking the top spot for me though.
Coming in the classic Mancera glass bottle, Cedrat Boise almost looks like a stylish bottle of olive oil due to its yellow tinge. But trust, me, it definitely smells better

How Does Cedrat Boise Smell?
When I first sprayed Cedrat Boise, I was hit immediately by a potent blend of vibrant citruses and blackcurrant that is incredibly refreshing. It definitely leans quite heavily into sweetness.
Fortunately, you don’t have to worry about the perfume becoming overpowering. Within a few minutes, it really mellows out, which is when I think it really comes into its own.
It masterfully develops a heart of woody and leathery notes, with a gourmand hint of vanilla. Once the top notes have calmed down, you’re left with a subtle, warm mix of notes that I have to admit is very alluring.
All things considered, it’s quite a linear fragrance, staying fairly unchanged as I smelled it throughout my day.
How Long Does Cedrat Boise Last?
Cedrat Boise lasts for around 8 and a half hours on the skin, and for a few days further still on clothes. All in all, the Mancera perfume definitely had above average longevity.
However, the sillage is not particularly noteworthy. For the first hour or two, my friends and family picked up the scent from an arm’s length away.
After that time, worried that the citrus scent was causing nose blindness, I asked someone new to smell it. They couldn’t detect Cedrat Boise until they were very close so it clearly sits very closely on the skin after a few hours.
In my experience, citrus fragrances tend to have above average projection, so I was slightly disappointed.
How Many Times Should You Spray Cedrat Boise?
The optimum number of sprays is 4-8 if you want your fragrance to be noticeable but not overpowering. Any less than 4 sprays and Cedrat Boise is unlikely to get you any compliments. Anymore than 8 sprays and you might draw attention for the wrong reasons.
Due to the fact the fragrance’s projection diminishes after a couple of hours, a decent amount of sprays is required to make the scent last as long as possible.
That said, in hot weather, I usually use 1-2 sprays less than in the winter so that my fragrance doesn’t get too stuffy.
When Should You Wear Cedrat Boise?
Cedrat Boise is a reasonably versatile fragrance that could be reasonably worn at any time for any occasion. However, it’s particularly suited to evening activities during spring and fall when it will be particularly refreshing and uplifting.
Given that the Mancera fragrance isn’t overpowering or sickly sweet, you could wear the perfume for indoor and outdoor events and still give off a pleasant, subtle scent trail.
Is Mancera Cedrat Boise Worth It?
Ultimately, if you’re looking for a versatile, citrusy, sweet fragrance to wear everyday, Cedrat Boise is a good investment. It has a long-lasting heart which definitely gives off clean and delectable.
However, if you’re looking for a beast mode scent that gets you compliments all day long, you might want to try something a little different.
At $101 for 2Oz, it’s definitely not as good value for money as other niche fragrances I’ve tested out, however, it’s still by no means the most expensive either.
What Is The Difference Between Cedrat Boise and Cedrat Boise Intense?
The Intense version is stronger, and has more prominent base notes which is quite nice seeing as the base notes in the original don’t stand out.
In 2021, ten years after launching the original, Mancera released Cedrat Boise intense. The main difference is that the intense version has a smoother overall composition, and is more intense than the original.
To me, Cedrat Boise Intense is less fruity, with the woody and vanilla notes being slightly more prominent.
As far as longevity is concerned, they both have the same staying power of around 8 and a half hours. That said, the intense version projects slightly more for a longer time.
There’s not much difference in terms of which I prefer, although the Intense version may just take the cake because I really like vanilla.
Fragrance | Description | Longevity | Occasion | Recommended Use |
Cedrat Boise | Citrus, woody, and fruity oriented | 8.5 hours | Any | All |
Cedrat Boise Intense | Zesty, woody, and vanilla oriented | 8.5 hours | Night | Date/Formal |
